Full Scholarships for Dundee Research LLM Program
Dundee University School of Law in Dundee, Scotland is inviting applications for two full scholarships for its research LLM program.
According to the law school, successful applicants will be law graduates who have obtained at least a good 2:1 honours degree or equivalent and can show commitment to pursuing postgraduate research.
The scholarship application deadline is August 31, 2007.
The LL.M. can be taken on a full-time basis over 12 months or on a part-time basis over 24 months.
The program incorporates research skills courses, which are designed to assist in the completion of the 30-40,000 word thesis.
Research students may also audit taught LL.M. modules.
Dundee Law School also offers a number of taught LL.M. programs.

Giulia Mereu LLM Scholarship
LLM in International Human Rights Law Scholarships
Giulia Mereu Scholarship is awarded annually to a student in the LLM in International Human Rights Law at the University of Essex.
This scholarship covers tuition fees for the academic year as well as a modest allowance to enable the recipient to undertake a one-month internship with a human rights organisation.
To be eligible to apply for the scholarship you must be made an offer from the Department.

Graduate Fellowships in Innovation Law and Policy
The Graduate Fellowships in Innovation Law and Policy were established through an endowment fund by the Ontario Research and Development Challenge Fund.
The Centre for Innovation Law and Policy sponsors a minimum of five Graduate Fellowships each year of up to $25,000 each.
Examples of subject areas that Centre Fellows might explore include:
# the law and economics of intellectual property rights to promote innovation;
# the regulation of electronic commerce;
# the law of intellectual property;
# Internet law and governance;
# the regulation of telecommunications, the relationships between competition law and innovation;
# the effect of different tort liability regimes on innovation;
# law and policy affecting the provision of capital to innovation enterprise;
# and the legal, ethical, social and cultural implications of particular innovations or technological developments.
Centre Fellows will be expected to make a significant contribution to the activities of the Centre, such as by assisting with conferences or similar events, becoming involved in networking, policy advisory or teaching initiatives of the Centre or assisting in the development of new Centre activities.
The Associate Dean (Graduate Studies) determines recipients of Centre Fellowships and award amounts based on academic promise, financial need and consultation with Faculty members associated with the Centre.
Centre Fellowships for SJD candidates may be granted for more than one year (to a maximum of three), provided that the recipient's research is progressing well and that the recipient continues to contribute to the activities of the Centre.
A fellow's contribution will usually amount to approximately five hours per week.

Deans Latin America and Africa Scholarship
The Dean’s Latin America and Africa Scholarship is a scholarship awarded annually to an exceptional MBA from Africa.
Eligibility criteria:
To be considered for the Dean’s Latin America and Africa Scholarship you must be accepted onto Oxford’s MBA programme and be a citizen or permanent resident of the following countries:

Recipients of the award are expected to contribute to the School’s marketing efforts in these regions and will be asked, when they are in full-time post-graduation employment, for a small donation to support future Scholarship recipients as the Dean is keen to create a culture of philanthropy within the Dean’s Scholars.

Graduate Scholarships in Reproductive Health Law
Graduate Scholarships in Reproductive Health are designed to permit law graduates from Africa who have an interest in human rights and women's health in their own countries, to undertake advanced research and study in this emerging field of law.
The scholarship is designed to enable students to explore the legal and ethical issues in reproductive and sexual health, such as the multiple causes of maternal mortality; barriers to availability of and access to reproductive health services; the prevention and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases, including AIDS; and abusive sexual relationships.
Students are encouraged to select other courses relevant to their plan of study, such as courses addressing medical law and ethics; national and international protection of human rights including women's rights; family law issues including violence against women; feminism and the law; law and development; and law and society issues.
The Scholarships cover tuition and incidental fees, provide a stipend of $15,000 and books.
This scholarship is open to any graduate student from the targeted regions.
After completion of their Fellowship, a Fellow must return to their home country and reside there for a minimum of two years.
The purpose of the two-year home residency requirement is to ensure that Fellows fulfil the objective the Fellowship programme, the international protection and promotion of reproductive and sexual rights.
